How do I train my bunny to drink from a water bottle?

He ignores the metal petruding into his cage, and only drinks from a water cup. I was wondering what I should do to get him to drink from the bottle! Right now I have the water dish and bottle in….thanks for the help!

the bunny can smell the water so he knows its there. He may not know how to work the bottle. Take him over to the water bottle and lighly press his mouth up to the nozzle so that the water comes out. After that he should figure it out.

You could try giving it to him while you’re holding him. Just don’t scare him with it. He probably just isn’t sure what it is so he avoids it or ignores it. You could see if he likes peanut butter or some other substance. If he does, put a little dab right on the end of the bottle spout and see if he gets the hint.
If he’s drinking from a dish/cup in his cage then I suppose you don’t really need the bottle unless you don’t like cleaning the water bowl all the time.

when we bought a few hamsters and bunnies they were still young but we didn’t train them,when they grew up a little they just drank from the bottle
