How do you get all that food from the bottom of a garbage disposal?

texasladiee asked:

When I use my garbage disposal, food stays at the bottom (where you put the food through) and it doesn’t go down. I’ve tried pouring alot of water down there to get it to all go down, but it doesn’t help. What can I do about the excess food, because its starting to have a smell.

Throw a tray of ice cubes (just the ice, not the tray…LOL) down the disposal after you use it.

For at least day its not great solution but lemons cut one into quarters and let it rip it isnt working on it rip it yourself but there is certainly something worng to temporarily mask the grinder for at least day its not great solution but.

Unplug it. REPEAT UNPLUG IT…..then try to clear it with your hand. I use a garden glove that is already messed up to do this. If it runs clear and then clogs again then you need to watch what you put in it and how much you put in it. Perhaps yours needs to be replaced with a more powerful one.
