Most energy drinks such as Monster, Red Bull, and Cocaine are considered unhealthy by the FDA because they contain large amounts of caffeine that dehydrates the body and increases blood pressure. Protein drinks provide energy, yet they can damage the liver and kidneys because the ingredients are concentrated in large amounts. On the other hand, fruit drinks are a healthier alternative because they contain antioxidants which refresh the senses and improve the immune system’s function. But personally, I would go w/ plain fruits (not drinks) because they do not come from concentrate and there is no sugar added. They naturally energize the body and are good in the long run too b/c they prevent many deadly diseases such as Alzheimer’s and cancer.
