What is better for you to drink or does it matter? Ice water or room tempeture water?

drink
Tatersalad asked:

One of my co-workers told me it was better to drink room tempeture water rather than ice cold water. I drink a lot of water and prefer it very cold rather than room tempeture. What is right? I’m not questioning her source of information (from her husband who is a fireman and very health-conscious) but I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Supposedly, drinking ice water temporarily lowers your IQ. I would stick with room temperature.

It makes no difference at all. Some people who answered said that ice-cold water will make your metabolism speed up, or you’ll burn more calories trying to warm it up, or it will lower your IQ. None of those are true. It doesn’t make one bit of difference.
