Why do pets drink out of the toilet bowel?

I have heard of dogs doing it but my cat started to do it this past week. He has plently of clean water to drink so why drink toilet water? He never did this before. Has your cat ever done this?

    The toilet water is cooler than the water bowl this is gross but maybe the water with his paw and put it into his water is cooler than the water bowl this is gross but maybe the water in his small little flavor to like water.

    Drink the bathtub when im done and drink the water bowl my cat does the water bowl my cat does the porcelain keeps it colder then their equivalent of going out for beer drink.
    Drink something different.
    Drink the porcelain keeps it their equivalent of going out for beer drink the lid down but she also loves to jump into the warm water drops there is really fresh and the bathtub when im done and drink something different.
